VFR Thread, How many of us have 'em? - Page 17

I can now add myself to the list of VFR riders as well. I shopped and researched all winter and felt that the VFR was the best choice for my style of riding, mostly slab time, but I like to find teh twisty roads between two points.

I did finally get the bike out for a 200+ mile run this weekend out to Jackson, WY. We went out US 26 along Palisades lake, then home over Teton Pass and Pine Creek pass.

I didnt get a good enough look at the bike in the background, I see now that it isnt a VFR.

What is the helibars, what do they do and where do I get them if they help as much as everyone says?

Chad, the bike behind mine is my buddies 2003 CBR954RR. Sweet bike, but the ergos are too tight for long rides.

Now you've got me wondering. I'm pretty sure it was purchased in the US. I have the paperwork at home - I'll check it tonight. The previous owner did say the black was rare in '99 (one of his arguments for the price point...

2006 ABS- Honda hardbags/Sargent seat/Bagster tank cover & bag/Pazzo levers/Heated grips/Scottoiler

Pictured heading west out of Creel (MX) on a 15K loop from Ottawa to Mexico and back in '07.

Travelling with 4 BMW's and a Multistrada. Only the VFR and the Multistrada had zero issues.

Terrific bike, excellent all rounder with all day comfort

(My 4th VFR)

If your gas tank wings are deep in the paint, it doesn't matter if your bike came that way from the factory or not, it's probably factory painted parts. Black looks good.

Sorry, I don't pay much attention to the threads I've posted in. After I posted a pic of the VFR, someone requested to show the front end of the FZ6 streetfighter parked next to it. Here it is:

Another view, this one taken for a TAG in a tag o rama game in GA:

And for good measure, the VFR as it is now. The mirrors are now the kind with the LED turn signals, the bar ends are new and say VFR, the clutch cover is new, and the levers are now flat black instead of chrome. It sunk into the asphalt and fell over, did a ton of damage. Oh. and it's got the fender eliminator also.

Anyone else have some VFR pics to show, maybe on a road trip or something? I havnt had time to ride mine as much as I would like. It is sitting at around 1200 miles, which means I put about 800 on it since its purchase in Nov. :(
