First Post
Hello All,
I thought this thread would make a good place to make my first post to the site. I have been lurking on the RR section, dreaming of some trips I would like to take when I have the time........then I realized I am turning 40 this year and I am going to put some of these dreams into action in 2009. So, I bought a 98 VFR that had already been modified with some accessories-Ti pipe, corbin, helibars, higher windscreen. Since purchase I have added a Marsee tankbag, SW-motec rack and Givi bags. Yes, I am finally going to hit the road this summer Bill |

I traded my Uly for an 03' VFR abs model. I thought at first ho hum.. I'll just try it and then sell it if I don't like it. I had a few XX's before this bike but for some reason this one is way more comfy.
That intake howl is addicting as well. I can't get enough of it. Those who bitch about the v-tec bump while mid-corner are just not that confident enough in themselves or their machine. Ride more bitch less! |

Quite a few VFR old timers have complaint about the latest generation being too heavy and under powered... Over the year Honda have lost touch with why riders like the original Interceptor, which is a shame as I do wish Honda gave the current generation of VFR more power given it's weight... I certainly would have got one if that was the case...

Got a 98 I've owned since new.
It will never be sold. Every time I get on it, I ride about 50 yards down the street and say to myself, "Damn this is a nice motorcycle."

It's not a VFR but a VF-F, the "original". Bought new in 1983, blue and white. Only have about 38K miles on it. Still own it but doest't get out much anymore, but it does like it's friends in the garage.

I recently acquired a 1994 VFR750 from another advrider, who got it from another advrider, who got it from an advrider who I believe was the original owner. It has been around, and the poor thing looks like it. I don't mind the broken plastic because she rides like a dream.
