I'm thinking of trading my GS for a VFR1200.
Am I crazy? |

Any pricing on the hard bags for the new VFR1200. That bike is growing on me and the local Honda dealer has 3 or 4 on the floor.
I tried Honda's website, but I can't get past the initial accessory page.

Managed to do 300 miles this weekend (in the rain) and the bike is charging beautifully and got 47.3 mpg. I guess my fuel economy issue was largely due to the type of riding I was doing and the reg rec solved my charging system issues entirely.

It is so hard to drive slow. (under 70) I have read where it only got 35 mpg. I can understand why. It translates the throttle (gas) into motion very quickly and that results in added fuel consumption. What is a good throttle lock for the VFR1200F? |

Just a few of the pics of my 6000 mile trip last month...with the VFR of course.
And PLEASE, don't quote my post and include all of the pictures, it eats my bandwith up and I'll have to take them down. Thanks! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Those roads look incredible. How many miles on that bike?

It's right at 39,600 miles and it'll be just over 40k by the end of this week. I have put 25k on it in the last two years that I have owned it.

So you have barely run it in then? Those engines are built to last!

Very nice. I have had lots of bikes but I just got into the VFR game and nothing I've ever owned ate miles like this VFR does, it is an animal for long hauls.

I put 123K on my 1992 before I passed it to my 20 year old son. I'm now on a 2005 R6 (wishing I was still on a VFR) and he has put another 20K on the clock of the the 92. VFRs are great bikes, I'm thinking of snagging an EFI 2000 model at present...

Any input on good wind protection items and/or cold weather riding gear for use with the VFR?
As we move into the colder months I'm looking for something to use that other VFR riders have had good experience with. |

Best thing for cold weather here in WI: heated grips!
