Have you got that long range tank yet?

I did a spur of the moment ride this afternoon to checkout some possible camping spots along the ovens river and had a fun time on the dirt roads in the wet. I might have to look into getting some knobbies for Winter. I came home at night on some more dirt around Balldale and Brocklesby. It was the first time I had ridden the KLR at night and I was very impressed with the stock Headlight.

I am testing some new fork springs at the moment so if the weather is reasonable I might go for a ride next weekend.

No unfortunatly family stuff has stopped my chances of doing anything on the bike at the moment, so the tank is still bog stock.
I MIGHT be free next weekend, few things on but i think i might be able to juggle a ride. Ill send you a message.

Thanks for the call today. I unfortunatly deleted the message before i got your number written down. My DR is in the shop at the moment anyway, so i couldnt have come, but i hope you had a blast.
Hopefully i will have the new tank by next weekend, who wants to hel me fit a safari??????

It won't be hard to fit but I never knock back beer.

The ride was good for a spur of the moment thing. Great weather and I discovered some lovely scenery I hadn't seen before in some areas that I have ridden many times.( Mt Pilot,Woolshed, Eldorado area)
I had no real plan I just followed the hills to see what I could find. I might have to plan a full day ride one day and see who wants to come along.

Woo hoo got my bike back today with a spanking new (second hand) safari tank on. So happy with it, barely notice the extra size and weight at all!
Just a thought, but who would be up for a social night/lunch or something, just to put a few more faces to names? A chance to catch up and talk some crap (maybe some of this

).

It's not a bad idea I would be in that

, the only problem is we are all fairly spread out. We would probably be better off organising a ride one day and meeting up somewhere for lunch. Just a thought.

Whats wrong with a nice day ride, dinner, a gut full of beverages and the necessary chit-chat and BS, a sleep, and then another cracking ride home?

The Riverina is not that spread out after all... compared to the NT
