Any rides 4th & 5th Dec?

Hi

Mother in law coming to visit, so might have to go riding!

Any Riverina guys interested in an overnighter or just a day ride?

Nothing overly tough, just a steady pace and maybe a place for a beer and a feed.

I am available from Friday 3rd to Monday 6th.

Cheers Dobbo

Wagga Toy run is saturday morning. I've got the boss coming over for dinner Sat evening and the Classic Club has our registration day / ride / lunch on Sunday.
The XS11 lives!!! Fixt the fuel tap leaks and it's not throwing oil out of the engine anymore. New airfilter too. Change the engine, middle & final drive oil today or tomorrow & it should be good for this weekend. Still running a bit rough below about 2500, the starter button and the ignition barrel are both a bit iffy. But the girl's 30 years old, one is allowed a few issues.

Well, it lived for a little bit. Started to play up, so I rode it home & got the RD out. Then proceeded to blow smoke & oil over as many harleys as I could find!

In case you've missed the thread, the Cancer Council Relay 2011 is on during May. Have a look and see if you can get some time off.

The route will depend on where from & two, & how long.

I've been in touch with my boss, in Canberra and, as you can read in the thread, there is a proposed off road skills course in Canberra, to co-incide with the relay.

This year I'd like to use Ravine / Lobbs Hole. That probably means Tantangarra Dam, Port Phillip Fire Trail, Long Plain, etc.

The XS would've done anything that we did last year, or anything that we'll do next year, I expect. Maybe just slower and without the same comfort. Then again, if you've got the missus on the back.

And I expect that I'll be on my sidecar. Probably.

Lets know if anyone is interested.

No & No,
I am however going to go for a ride on Monday.
I have been invited to tag along on a 4 day ride with some mates and seeing as the other house has finally sold I figured why not?

Will pick up some Alpinestar boots this week partially funded by the out laws (bless 'em ) as a Xmas/birthday present.

Off to Tas via Bombala, Delegate, Orbost on Jan 7 for about 9 days.

That's an interesting way to get to Tassie. Sounds like a top ride.
Now that the other house has sold I hope to get out on the bike a lot more so look forward to catching up with all again soon. I am still a bit disappointed I didn't get to go on Ray's last ride but that's life.

Did you manage to join anyone?

Maybe go on 'the offensive'. Decide where you're going and then let us know. Fingers crossed, some will come out to play but it wont matter 'cause you'll be there anyway.

I reckon the technique is to set a date & location & leave it. Don't attempt to juggle dates, 'cause someone will always miss out - probably Troy!

I publicly & loudly stated that "I'm going" to Tassie with the classic club. That was due to leave here on 8th Jan.
SWMBO decided she wanted a 'coast' holiday. Well, nil came of that.
I'm off to Adelaide instead, taking an empty trailer. Bringing back a full one.

OK. That's what I'm saying today.

Anyway - Enjoy Tassie. I love the place. I find it hard to remain a main-lander, really.

My last ride finished about 4 hours ago!

Kept doing thisseemingly everytime I did a ewey! And I did lots of 'em. 4 days riding between here & Sinny. Got the helmet camera sorted for angle & gave the still camera a flogging too. Only damage suffered was a re-bend of the previously straightened left lever protector. A new pair of fair dinkum Barkbusters is on the shopping list.

The girl now NEEDS and oil/filter change. And a good bath. Maybe bath first.

Watch this space
