Kinross Woolshed Gig
Hi all,
Heading up to Albury tomorrow for a gig at the Kinross Wooshed with our band "Last Chance". If you are short on something to do come along and have a listen if you like Country Rock or Pub Rock! Starts about 7.30pm in the main bar. Should be a bit of fun. This place is a regular for us. www.myspace.com/thelastchanceband Cheers WH

Hi UncleGra,
Sounds like the menu at a chinese restaurant. So whats your thing? Jazz? Death Metal? I'm guessing with those chords it aint blues or punk! Cheers WH

no I dont care for jazz either...I dont understand it...does anyone....death metal...Im 62....a song has to have more than those boring 3 majors and a relative minor to ring my bell
If you listen to Lyle Lovett ....not the traditional numbers..you'll know what I mean ok ...now hit me...

We musicians are a funny breed. There's the songs we really enjoy playing and then there's the songs the punters want to listen/dance to. We try to accommodate ourselves by playing stuff we like and also some stuff that both the punters and ourselves like. Some of our originals are a bit more complex than the three chords and the truth style!
Cheers WH Lyle Lovett (despite being the ugliest dude in music) is a good listen. Quote:

Wasn't Lyle also married to Julia Roberts at one stage? Brad Paisley is pretty good if you want to listen to some good guitar work and funny lyrics.....sorry he's country too!

Hi NoHillsNoTrees
Brad Paisley is probably my favourite artist. Great songwriting, good singer and a smoking hot guitar player. Lyle was punching well above his weight class with Julia I reckon! Cheers WH

I'll check it out Uncle Gra. I play electric (we share lead duties) and acoustic guitar and some dobro (just learning this one). Do about a quarter of the lead vocals and some backing vocals. Got a nice Tomkins Custom tele (build in Sydney), a Belman Albatross, Cole Clarke FL1AC and a Taylor 410ce.
We enjoy playing the Kinross. The place has a great feel and the crowd are generally friendly. I have everything Paisley has recorded and my 16 year old has developed a liking for him too! Jason Aldean has some great stuff too. Cheers WH Quote:
