Yep there will be plenty of room for the air cleaners. Well when I get the correct air cleaners there will. The ones I have now hit the frame. I need some K&N's that are 1/4" shorter. At least I hope they are 1/4" shorter. There specs say they are...we will see if it actually is.

Ok today got some more done. Chain guard/guide construction.

Started with the lower guard. This will snap onto the frame tube. I dont know if the chain will ever hit the frame. But if it does..Im covered.

1-1/2 delrin bar stock. Drilled 1" hole on laythe and cut to length. Split and slotted on Bridgeport mill.

And this one turned into my prototype...because I put the damn slot on the wrong end. Yes it works but Ill make another one with the slot in the correct end.

Now for the upper guide. 1"W x 1/4THK delrin. The bracket is cut from a pc of angle iron and beat to fit. Yes I will have to remove this part to change the oil. No biggie.

A little more headway on the electronics mounting panel. I think it will blend in nicely. I thought it might be too much. But I think it will work fine.
Still got to get the tabs welded on. Maybe tonight.

Coils will mount on this side once my brackets come in, next week by the looks of it.

I kinda had my doubts too. I was thinking it would snap but it was flexible enough to snap over.

ceracote has a clear ceramic coating for polished aluminum that may be just what you need for your cases. A little spendy, but guys I know on the Steel Soldiers forum use it on their old military vehicles for somethings and swear by it.

Good looking work on the bike. First bike I ever rode was a BSA, way back in time.

Is that upper chain guide wide/strong enough to drill out an access/drain hole for the oil plug?

If he drills a hole in the guide and puts a spigot in the bottom of the oil tank he could have an automatic chain oiler.

Its a BSA. They have an automatic chain oiler built in.... Seriously. Little black tube on the LH side of the case at the back
