There are markings on the side of the "tube" for 1 through 4 cups of espresso. You just add 1 scoop of grounds per desired cup, add water, stir for 10 seconds and then press down on the plunger. Voila!!

Heya Mikey!

It's about 9-10" and 3" in circumference. (Wow, that could be taken out of context!! ) I'd say it's smaller, just, than a nalgene bottle.

I'll bring the Nalgene set up with me to WARPED.

Well, I dig my instant, but if someone is brewing some good shit I'll pay 'em back with some Captain Private Stock later on in the evening.

You folks have ruined me for coffee drinking.
All I wanted was a simple way to make camp coffee.
My old aluminum perculator was too large for M/C camping.
You turned me on to this.

I don't even want coffee if I can't have it from this thing.
Even folgers is SO much better with it.
My heartburn has disappeared.
Gas station coffee is now undrinkable.
Damn you.
Damn you all.

You are welcome.

I found it amazing how much better this process is than my home espresso maker... factor in that it is easier to clean, takes less time to make a cup or three and that I can take it on the bike, to the office or use it at home... I wish I had found it years ago.

Being a cheap bastage I reuse the filters... just rinse it off and dry it in a paper towel. I can easily get a weeks worth of coffees out of one filter... Did I mention my other bike is a KLR?

I do it like this,
I buy the beans (sumatra) green and roast them in my popcorn popper or I sometimes stir them in a pan over the fire.
Then grind them up and boil until the grounds sink, in this example I didn't want to wait that long.

Starbucks is coming out with instant coffee packs that are supposed to be really good, if somewhat expensive at $1 per cup.

If you are into coffee you have figured out your favorite brewing method on the road. The question is, how do you grind your beans on the road?

I pre-grind my beans just before the trip. As much as I like to grind my beans just before brewing when I'm at home, it's just too much hassle on the road.
