So what would be the best way to waterproof the garment silicone sprays or a product like NIKWAX?

I bought the suit that's in the original thread. Got it last year and have used it a fair bit in shoulder season and Winter.
Great bang for buck, great service.
Cheers,
Erik

Anyone in the Ohio area (Dayton or Columbus) that may want to meet and show off their Lombard suit?

Matt

Just pulled the trigger for a Lombard in hi-viz orange pending trial fit for sizing! Hope it arrives before it gets hot.

For several years, I have washed my motorcycle textile gear using Nikwax products from REI. When my Lombard needs cleaning, I will use Nikwax on it as well.

I clean the gear first using a mild liquid detergent and then use the Nikwax TX Direct Wash In Waterproofer. I have used Granger's combined product: one step wash and waterproofer and did not have as good results as the Nikwax products.

Nope, running a Givi E-48 Top box and those are the 45's on the sides. Tank bag is a Marsee 6L something or other I'm not very happy about, but it fits some junk. The lighting, in case anyone is interested, is a retrofit HID kit form DDM tuning, 2x H4's for the headlights in 4500K, and 2x H3's in 3500K which fit quite nicely in my el cheapo $14 Harbor Freight fogs. Here's another shot:

Version 3 Lombard.

Just a thought for the evolution of the Lombard....Would it be too difficult to make two suits? One sporty specific suit with pucks and no rubber ass patch, and another model without pucks incl. rubber ass patch?

I have had a Lombard in high-viz orange since late last year. It complements my Phantom in high-viz neon green nicely.
