I'd really like to see some pics of this process if you have a chance.

I find myself interested in the suit as well. But would like crash test result, not that I suggest anyone taking a purposeful off track adventure.

But before I put my girlfriend in a suit I'd like to know its going to do well.

Since many (most) of us can't see the suit in person, would it be possible to compare it to the weight and feel of some other common suits by those of you who have compared them in person. For instance, I have had on the BMW Rallye jacket and the Olympia Phantom Suit and would be interested in the weight comparision. Thanks

I recently did a review of the Cross Continent Mesh suit published in this months issue of Outcast Cycles Ghazi will have a copy of it to post shortly.

In short, the suit is much more substantial than the price tag would suggest. The materials and workmanships are on par (or in some cases significantly better than) with all of the mesh type gear I've ever tried including Fieldsheer, First Gear, Joe Rocket and others. The non mesh portion of the mesh suit is sturdier and heavier overall than any textile gear I've tried. If the non-mesh portions of the suit are the same material as used in the standard Cross Continent vented suit, you are in good hands with the suit.

I can't compare it directly with the Aerostitch or Olympia gear as I've only handled the two and not actually put any miles in them. As far as "feel" goes, they feel like they are in a similar category quality wise.

FWIW, I've got close to 1800 miles in the suit now and I choose it over my other available gear combinations if traveling anything other than local short hops, which is about all i ride anymore.

And before anyone asks, No I won't crash test it :)

Ok I will do that. The only problem I see with doing this that the seam sealer tends to discolor ( turns it darker ) the material you put it on.It doesn't turn it black or anything JUST a darker shade of what ever color it is.

folks,
i will be posting a whole bunch of (good) news very soon... but till then.. the folks at Outcast Cycles did a IBA run .... there is an entry about it here:
http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=458192
Though it does not have anything specific about the suit (that particular article will be posted soon as well), it does have some pictures of the mesh suit...
