When I was a kid we had a 1970 Ford Econoline window van. My Dad built some couches that folded into beds, and my Mom sewed up the curtains.
We vacationed all over, playing Michael Jackson records on a little portable turntable.

I used to work on V-Dubs....they seem cool, but they are nightmares when it come to maintenance. Just seemed like they made silly engineering decisions, like dual throttle linkages on vanagons (on on the tranny and one on the motor, that get stuck and result in the van driving itself down the road with me inside.

stupid vws.....BUt people seem to love them, and I admit they are kinda cool, I just dont want to fix them.
