You could get parts for that wheezy four any where. HP is just a matter of attitude. "Too slow, too bad"

But I will admit, VW never built anything as cool as this.

In the Tradesman, we had a big brown victorian style chair with wooden arms that they'd just sit between the front buckets. Seat Belts? Car seats?
Thanks for the thread, Duke. Brings back memories. Dad had an early 60's Ford work van they used for trade shows. I got to ride on the dog house to and from the plant when he was picking up or dropping off.

Love the pics of the early 70's Dodge vans. I attended more than one custom van show. Amazing paint jobs.

I can't argue about the power that Corvair puts out (especially the turbo ones) but the style has never done much for me.

And with a little money..........OK a lot of money you can get some good power out of a VW.

Chop Cut Rebuild did a show on the Super Van but I couldn't find a clip to post.
That OKA is bitchen!
If you like the Opel GTs check out the 1964 Lotus Elan Coupe. If I could have come up with the money in the 80s I'd probably still have it today. In the twistys they were taken pinks from the 427 Vettes, first car to enter the states with fully independent suspension.

That's like saying "If you like airplanes you built at home out of a peach crate and a chain saw engine, check out the 747."
