Me three. I'm intrigued by that console... Seems decently made, plastics not super thin?

For insulation, I'm doing the roof only because it's already there and just needs some wooden covers, and because it has a metal roof. The plywood insulates pretty well already. I'll install a webasto heater (similar to the Espar that geek installed) and I'm basically not going to worry about insulation because it burns so little fuel over night and my understanding is they are very powerful/work great even for a space of this size. I may come back to it though, we'll see. We're also probably seldomly going to camp in true winter I feel and I have good sleeping bags. As long as its tolerable inside, I figure...
Thanks for the info, but I was asking more about any additional noise or heat coming from the aftermarket console.

sorry misunderstood. It's not an aftermarket as I understand. It's a ford product from different dialect of van as I understand it. Likely a premium van. No additional noise / no issue as far as I can tell... This is with our very loud 6.0, for some reason this 6.0 is louder than even my old 7.3 it seems.

If space is what you guys are after, look for the consoles with the closed glove box compartment at the bottom- basically you get 3-4 drink holders on top, coin holder, other various cubbyholes, a deep opening underneath- too deep cause I spend a lot of time finding the gps etc in there, plus the glove box thingy underneath that. The above model is similar but it lacks the closed glove box compartment- I like the above model for the open tray space in front of the cupholders, but then the space below is wasted.

90's Econoline owners, need some help. My mirrors keep folding when I'm driving over 50 or so, seems they've lost some gription as of late. I don't want to buy another factory set, there has to be a way to fix this, any advice?

Here are a couple photos of some of the other ones off the internet. To Ko's point this one would be pretty sweet:

Here's a common one you find in junk yards...

looking at the ebay auctions looks like they are interchangable from 99 and later through current. If it helps...
