Went to BigBend for the winter weekend, got to try the snow in the desert. This is a 6.0 Diesel E350 4x4, averaged 18mph on the 500 mile drive with this setup keeping to speed limits. 13~14 normally the way I drive. But it's 4:10 axle's I want to convert to 3:55's which will put me at 21mpg running 85. The van is such an aerodynamic brick, I find the MPG doesn't change much when towing an enclosed trailer that would normally kill MPH in a truck.

Sorry no pic's of the inside of the rear, but the partition is on the rear wheel wells, so there is a ton of space. Best pic I got.

Good Luck, Rob, to all of the team at Pan Am. It's pretty exciting stuff. You're bringing out the big rigs to play. Enjoy.

And now, back to glorious vans...

I buy dis:

'05 w/95000, 5.3, cargo doors on BOTH sides, and AWD.

It's in Chicago, I'm gonna pick it up in a couple of weeks.

Thanks to Skeeter and McB, and the rest of the Chain Gang for checking it out for me.

I had the opportunity to drive a GMC AWD van a few weeks ago in VERY nasty snow conditions and was blown away by it's capability. Even with crappy OEM tires the thing was damned near unstoppable.

Surprised and impressed.

Surf On, Man.

Alrighty then! The Vans! thread needs some new vans.
Here's one that I found just outside of the Cali Mexi border.

obviously well-loved and stylized in a charming but casual way.

Surf on, Man!
