For a second, looking at the pictures above, I imagined that the ramp just flipped up from horizontal to vertical in one swift movement ...

Not sure they have the capacity for a GS but your smaller DS bikes should be fine.

For a while I searched for one of those, but with a different setup. I wanted a "normal" front door and seat, and the other door behind the front door, and no wheelchair lift, but a back door. I can ramp bikes in so no need for the lift, but the idea of no passenger seat, or it set back doesn't appeal to me. The only one I ever saw that I liked as big $$$'s

Most wheelchair lifts have a capacity of 800lbs

They work just fine lifting bikes too I might add.

So it'll have to be reinforced for the average GS then

Hey! That's my Van! I posted them in the cool truck thread then remembered there was a van thread but couldn't find it.
You left out the best pics though.
1979 Chevy Van

This van was special ordered by the original owner. He customized the interior. Too bad I never took pics of the inside.
It is a 1 ton short wheel base, 400 small block, turbo 400 trans, NP 205 transfer case, 35/12.5/16.5 BFG's with a Pathfinder 4X4 conversion. The head light guards and grab handles behind the doors were solid stainless steel.
I took it quite a few "interesting" places. I sure do miss it!

Some shots taken during the blizzard of 93.

And after the storm

Those racks were 8' off the ground. The top of the uprights were 10'. The guy I sold it to drove into a bank drive through a week after he bought it and broke the drive through lights. Needles to say they weren't too happy with him!

Here's a couple that the original owner had posted

on the net here

Thanks! I know!....Wished I could have popped for a Sportsmobile with a H-Topper. It's not like I don't have options for sleeping though....and plenty of toy storage.
