Thanks. Yes, I waffled back and forth between it and a GSA rack. I think I'm glad I went this route but time and use will tell. It did fit up nicely though.

Hi there,

Also "new to the Family". Did an exchanged deal here in South Africa, swapped a 2010 660 Tenere for a 2007 GSA. Think I did ok..

Not how I like to keep my bikes.. So gave him a solid wash and polish, and BMW did an 80 K Service, and some new Road orientated tyres.. Much better.

Now going to do a little Road-orientated cosmetic updates on him to my liking. 99% of my riding will be Tar orientated, but now and then I might wander down some dirt road.. So my intention is to have a cool looking, "current" GSA with some Street Cred. Final finish will look something Similar to a Triple Black..

I like how you put your aux lights above that bar. Wonder why BMW didn't think of that?

(because they'd sell less replacement lights)

It's starting to change!
Got rid of the Varios and added the Adventure Cases. Also added Altrider crash bars, BMW LED aux lights, Wolfman tank bag, Macine Art Moto front and rear mudguards, TT rear rack, Altrider potentiometer guard and a TT sidestand foot.
Not much left to do but ride it!

Milk Crate Mania

Just thought I would show-off the milk crates! My friends are pounding me hard about them :milkman! I'm telling you milk crates take utilitarianism to a HIGH LEVEL! My sleeping pad, tent, and sleeping bag ride in the crates along with whatever I grab fast or need quickly. They are my seats, tables, and tent bed stands. I agree they are an aesthetic abomination, but they work so well! OK . . . all the wise guys should take a shot - I deserve it!

Great looking bike. Where did you get the headlight protector?

I love it, and I think you may have solved one of the age-old questions on Advrider: how to easily carry ice and a 12-pack of brews picked up at a local store prior to settling down in the campground. Awesome. How did you attach the milk crates to the bike?

Bought the crates from Duluth Trading and cut slots at the side base with a dremmel for straps. I shaped the bottom of the crate to sit flat on the pannier lid, and I strapped tight to lid. All panniers will open, even when crate is full. Not a mod of beauty, but the mother of utility!

If you see the milkman on the road, get my attention. I would be glad to share my 12 pack that is iced and crated!
