Well, I'd hope a system would have a lower failure rate then 54%. We used to sent pallets of Xbox's back to the MFG every few weeks.

The Xbox has more of the sports games then the PS3. Having a pay-per service like Live! helps. The PS3 has a lot of good games. Some aren't exclusive but others are. Although, if you're into sports games then that's moot. It really depends on what type of gamer you are.

I do like having the BD player so I don't have to buy another BD player. The PS3 tells you when there are firmware updates and is easy to update to make sure it plays all BD's.

I use my PS3 as a Media player as well. Although you can do with with the Xbox as well. I don't know if the XBox does Divx though.

Everything totalling to $180 (helluva lot more than I thought ) and I signed up for an edge card which gave me 10% on all the trade in items which paid for the card and added another $12 to the deal. So I got a refurbed PS3 40gb for $229 - the $192 from the trade in and a $27 used copy of mgs4. So I got a ps3 and mgs4 for roughly $70.

I'm going to miss the xbox controllers though.

I think you're mad.

However- have fun!

Only if you still need a BluRay player.

I got to play a little bit of NFS Shift this weekend. What a very pretty absolutely awful game.

It feels Slow. Abysmally molasses while being caressed by a witches tit slow.

Until you try to go around a corner. Then it feels horribly horribly fast as you suddenly rocket sideways into a wall and hear your driver gasp and moan. So you slow down to a pace reminiscent of EV's snail trail production in a meat packing plant, then creeeeeeep around the corners. After that you drive ridiculously fast down the straights, even though it feels as stable as a sunday cruise, until you creeeeeep around another corner.

Also all the cars seem to have the torque of a mosquito. There really isn't any power sliding around corners. I tried to get various cars to spin out. a veyron, a zonda , a 911, a gtr spec v. None of them could manage to summon enough grunt to spin the wheels. They've somehow developed virtual tires in this game that are absolutely spin proof, yet can hold absolutely no lateral geforces whatsoever.

Other than bashing up the cars you're racing against, there doesn't seem to be any hooliganism. It's pick a track and race, instead of drive around like a lunatic then race if you want to. No driving backwards on the track. no track cutting to T-bone the guy in the lead. Blech.

But pretty, very very pretty.

Just "rediscovered" my PSP.

I'd totally forgotten what a beautiful piece of hardware that thing is.

Anyone have any suggestions on some decent playing games for it?

I love platformers in the small format. (Think Mario games for the DS.)

I picked up a used UMD of Rachet and Clank for it at GameStop. It's okay.

Yeah...

That's what I thought and kind of why I put it away in the first place.

I think I saw a copy of Midnight Club: LA Remix for US$9.00 that I might go back and get.

Anybody else playing COD: WaW on the XBOX? PM me your names if you want to play multiplayer co-op or Nazi Zombies.

I've had the game pretty much since it released. Maybe spent an hour on it total. Then this past week my Eskrima buddies and I decided to do some co-op and some zombie-killing and holy crap that game is fun!

Maybe they did.

Pulled into the parkinglot and a warehouse supervisor was out front talking to everyone coming in. She walked up to my window asked where I worked and told me to come back tomorrow.

I'm fighting laughing octopus right now.

But I have to go to school.

I do the PC version pretty regular.

New zombie map should be out before too much longer.
