They took the backwards compatibility away on the new PS3's.

I haven't seen FO3 on 720P.

My friend came over earlier in the week and did say he noticed a detail difference, especially at night (in the game).

Whatever...

Cheers
Brett

Kinda dumb. I'd happily pay an extra $50-$100 for PS2 backwards compatibility, just to be able to get rid of the PS2 I already have (the area under the TV is cluttered enough already, thank you) without losing the ability to play the PS2 games I already have.

AFAIK the did not ditch the support for PS2 games. They just took out the dedicated hardware to run them. They have software emulation included.

Here is their compatibility check page.

No need. I didn't even get to play the damn game last night. I got everything hooked up and then family obligations arose that required I put my plans on hold.

I'm about to start the game now. To help matters Boulder, CO is under a Winter Storm warning and I might not be able to get into work.

What a time sink

Fallout 3 has got the be biggest time sink ever invented. I just looked up and realized I've been playing this darn game for almost 7 hours.

I need some sort of kitchen timer.

Imagine sitting there with your better half going "Gimme Gimme Gimme, I want a turn!" as he's rapidly opening and closing his hands in desperation.
