What I miss in this game is a bit of story about the character itself. Fallout3 had you grow up, but here you just get thrown in without any knowledge about yourself.
I know a lot about some of the people I interact with, for example why Boone knows his wife is dead.

I do recommend the quests with the Boomers at Nellis, they are quite cute and you get two nice toys.

I cleared vault 3. Bad communication... a moment after you killed some fiends, the next ones you meet are friendly again... until you kill them, too.

I just took the explorer perk. They left out a Huge portion of the map

I liked some stuff from the FO3 more than I do this one, it felt more... desperate.

Just remember, there will be DLCs for New Vegas, too.

Also, remember how the main episode of FO3 ended?

Yeah what a letdown. I was still heady from the ending of ME2 when I went through FO3. The Robot assault on the memorial was pretty cool, tho.

"Communism is a temporary setback on the road to freedom!"

In other news I wandered over to Vault 34 to fix the radiation problem for the farmers.

And ran out screaming. I should have known.

Yeah, I am sure that they'll use the two unused parts of the map for add-ons. I somehow don't want to take the explorer perk, takes a bit of fun out of the discovery.

I also remember the end of FO3. The bitch in armor was dead and I wandered the wastelands with my dog, having a lot of fresh water available.

Well, there went six hours...

New Xbox and FO3.
I'm lousy with the controls.
It locked up on me just as I got to the tower(temple?) in the SW corner of the map. I needed a break anyway.

I have yet to really figure out what the hell I'm supposed to be doing, and how shit works. It's gonna take me a while.

It took me a while to figure it all out too in FO3. I spent a lot of time PMing Charla on what the heck to do.

Neither did I just have a terrible laughing fit, because Microsoft is stupid. "Summertime starts at 27 of march 2011 at 2 o'clock. The clock is configured to put the time one hour up at that time."

We just had the conversion to wintertime... my computer clock set itself one hour back.
That's what you get for being in a foreign time zone.

Since it's getting ready to snow up North, I went ahead a picked up copy of Fallout 3 (w/ the add ons) @ best buy on Friday.

The whole Little Red Robbing Hood take-this-basket-to-Grandma's quest gameplay just isn't for me.

Anyone interested in a very lightly used copy (PC DVD) for about 1/2 the retail price?

I'm up to level 4. Blew up the town, took care of the ghouls, now just wandering around looking for a new side quest to do.
I don't know if it's my tv or the game, but it absolutely is killing my eyes. Too much strain with the screen being so light/dark.
