My PS3 has the "yellow light of death." Yesterday my wife did the system 4.25 update then played for a while and shut it down. Now it will not start up and has the YLOD. Could it be related to the update or is it just fucked? It is an old style 80GB model, it lives in a safe place, doesn't get moved around, we have no kids so it's led an easy life compared to some Playstations I'd imagine.
What is my next step? I am asking here because I think I'll better understand your answers than the gibberish kids post on most gaming forums. Thanks. |

Just stopped by the retro gaming store:
 Got some Sega/X Box stuff for myself and a some N64 things for my lil bro/sis but damn that store is dangerous, I'd happily buy up half of it.

We went to Game Stop today. It's impossible for me to not spend a bunch of money in there.
 Picked up Dead Island GOTY Edition, Arkham Asylum GOTY Edition, Darksiders, and Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe. Hopefully the XBoxes don't overheat.
