For you newbies to this game with questions, catch me online and we'll squad up and I'll answer what I can. Have a microphone set up if you have one, because there is squad voice chat in the game. We can also use Geek's Teamspeak server.
Thanks!

A Fantastic game, I've been playing it for a few months.

My handle on WT is "Fahugwagaads".
Thanks, that helps a lot. I've been flying Arcade with the mouse and keyboard. I tried by gamepad but it's way too sensitive. I haven't used a joystick in a LONG time. I need to play around with it more or else just stick with the mouse. I wish I could change the mouse sensitivity though. I run out of room when I have to turn hard or pull up and forget my desk isn't big enough.

I don't think you can be more embarrassing them me. I'm king of crash and burn.

Well at least you seem to have learned some things about game progression, all I have bought is an extra slot and trained the crew, I fly with reserve planes except for the 4th slot in which I put a nice white plane (I don't even know the model) which was somehow given to me after a battle (pity gift?)

I haven't spent on additional training or buying since I am sure to make the wrong choices, not knowing anything about aircraft tiers, repairing and crew experience...

Unfortunately I know enough about gaming to realize how much I suck at this...

I also learned about the term "seal clubbing", it is when high level pilots load up low tier decks and come into newbie battles to have raping fun on unsuspecting baby bottoms such as mine... It's like Turkish prison in there..

tserts, get into the squadron search the next time you're in game and apply for membership. Unfortunately, I haven't found a way to invite people yet. I'll load up my Russian reserves and fly with you.....

Will do, I don't know when I will re-log on, since this game imposses the following requirements:

1. Everyone in the house must be asleep so as not to make me leave the plane in "auto pilot" mid-fight.

2. Real life workload must be within manageable levels so as to justify me playing like an idiot the flying bait.

3. I must be in a fairly calm mood, preferably a bit drugged or drunk so as to endure the raping onslaught with stoicism...

Found the squadron and applied. (I'm YakSpout.)

Hope to catch some of you online soon. I'll definitely be playing Tuesday night. Probably start around 7pm PDT.

Seal clubbing.

Check out Bismarck's videos on YouTube. They have a LOT of useful information. Here's his beginner's playlist:

I got frustrated with the Peashooter and bought a fleet...herd? of Buffalo's. They live up to their nickname, The Flying Coffin though. I've modded my planes up to whatever it allows me to. Better airframe, guns, compressor if it's available, radiators, etc... I don't think you can go wrong modding the plane. You'll eventually want everything anyway.

I need to figure out how to look around while flying though. If you don't, you'll end up with someone attacking you from all of your blind spots which es anywhere behind you. Best to play with others so you can watch each other. It's also just more fun in general. I've been plating quick battles just to up my XP and get more money for better planes. I'm probably going to save up for a A-20.

Ah, that will help a lot! I get shot at and have to guess where they are then I end up playing circle jerk with them and they can usually out turn me since they're in an I-15 or some other bi-plane. I think I'm best at ground attacks. I'll only go after a plane if he's got tunnel vision and is going after a friendly and doesn't have wingmen with him.

I also noticed that you rank doesn't level up at the same rate as the country rank. I've been playing all US and I'm at 4 while the country is 3 still. Couldn't figure out why I couldn't get a P-40 yet. This game is forcing me to dust off a lot of aviation facts that I've put away a long time ago.
