I did everything I could, but i couldn't save her.

So i swung by gamestop and picked up a refurbished one for $169 with a 1 year warranty for $19.99.

Then we go some beer and bananas. Maybe this time I'll get past the designing your face part.

Did they let you trade your dead one?

I spent about 6 hours playing Guitar Hero yesterday.
It got to the point where I could barely move my fingers anymore. I guess I'm just a glutton for punishment.

Then I went over to my neighbor's house and kicked everyone's ass at Wii boxing, including a professional MMA fighter & my 9 year old!

I'm playing in the past with a newly acquired Xbox, brand new in the box !

So what are some of the top games for this out dated console ?

Like some shoot'em up stuff and car racing/chase stuff....what were some of the best graphics available for the original Xbox ?

Forza was really cool. Had some stuff in it I wish the new one had.

That first racing game microsoft put out. I remember being wowed by the graphics and physics. of course I had one of the first green ones and it died pretty quick, so I dont know if any other driving games were better. I am sure they were

I think GT4 for PS2 was still rated slightly higher, but once Forza 2 came out all bets were off. I can't wait to see what GT5 is gonna be like.

This rainbow six game is pretty damn fun. I love the mechanics are great compared to the old ones I used to play on pc.

Fallout is really cool too! Got me a flamer, hunting rifle, some pistols, etc. Spent the first 24 hr time cycle wandering the wasteland until I finally found Megaton. Now I have to raid the super duper mart. Also, night time is scary dark.

Note - the sequel (sort of), 'Line of Contact' does *not* come with the controller, but the setup can sometimes be grabbed off ebay cheapish, and used original Xbox's can be picked up fairly easily.
One of my gamer friends whipped that out at a lan party and hooked it up to a projector when it was still shiny and new.

You can watch it over and over.

Also, can I eat peopel while they're still alive?
It's not nearly as fun when you don't get to whip out a shotgun and shoot tenpenny in the face right after you get your fill of the second sun there.

Oh hey! thanks for the key! Kachack, BOOM. /wanders off whistling to look for some orphans to flay.

No I think you have to killerate em first. Then you can chow down. The sherriff of megaton found that one out. Maybe I should restrain my cannabalistic tendencies and not eat people in the middle of town.

On second thought, fuck it. I've got more ammo and I'm still hungry.

I broke down and got a copy of Fallout 3 last night.

I got all the way through exiting the Vault- and then it was time to slap Gears back in and whup some ass.

Sometimes, RPGs that ask you to make choices in preparing your character make me nervous- I hate picking the wrong attributes.

I'll be back onto Fallout soon.

Yep. Same here.

And I never know if I'm wasting my time doing something. I'm one of these that tends to check every nook and cranny. It's taken me forever to get out of the school.

You guys are funny.

There are no right or wrong answers in Fallout and it doesn't keep track of how long it takes you to do things, that's part of what makes it fun.

Just play your own game and quit worrying. If you feel like you want to do something differently just go back and play it again after you finish the first go 'round.

And what a bunch of needy F'er's in the wasteland.

"Hey, can you do this for me?"

"Hey, help a guy out, ok?"

"Kill those ants for me, will ya?"

Sheesh.

I'm on so many tangents I don't know my pip boy from a hole in the ground.

But I did kill all those freakin' ants. And yes, I just started....
