Nice bear!

My DR350 seat is at Fisher Seats in Boise and is supposed to be back in time for trying to ride Lolo Motorway on July 12 ( or the next weekend ) and hopefully the swelling from my surgery will have gone down by that time also.

Sunday Ride - Florence, ID

Took a ride up to Old Florence, ID near the Gospels on Sunday. Did a little GoPro testing. This is still on the street tires so no judging until the TKC's are on.

That looks like a fun road.

We have a couple cabins up there, and have a pig roast each year on August 23rd. I'd like for anybody that wants some amazing pork, and to explore that area to come up! It's about 50+ miles outside of Grangeville.

I don't think you need new tires after watching that video.

I was suprised how good the stock tires were on dirt and gravel, but you went through some good looking mud puddles.

From that first ride with you guys until now, I'm about 20x more comfortable on that bike. Took awhile to get used to not being on my 450! But I love Big Bertha now!

Got home sunday afternoon from the Wallowa trip,,, then last nite my neighbor mentioned that the lock on his storage unit ,,, which happens to be accross the road from me,, had been cut off. So after some thought about it, Squirrel66 and I decided to walk over to my storage unit... and sure enough someone had cut the lock off on mine ,,, luckily nothing was taken, including my 454LTD Kawi... its sitting out under my patio cover now...

That is the kind of problems you get in those big cities. I'm glad your stuff is OK.

a couple of pics from our trip to Inuvik... thought would share with my Palouse riders... yep both Janet and I made it all the way up and back with no bike naps! The Dempster Road is very easy in some sections and white knuckle on the pegs for miles or having the out riggers out for miles trying to keep the bike upright... do it again? Janet was ready to sell her bike and fly home... I am going back in 3-4 years when they finish the road all the way to the Arctic Ocean if my health allows... any takers?

Me on my 2003 F650GS... this picture was early on as the bike and me are still pretty clean.

It is BIG country and very beautiful.

Road goes on and on and on

Taken from one of the passes.

One of the two ferrys that you have to cross. They run limited hours and high water or winds shut them down... we got stuck at the McKenzie River crossing for seven hours.

Janet trying to get 40 winks while waiting for the ferry... mosquitos were horrible!!! We finally put up our tent to get away from the biting bitches!

One of my favorite photos... taken at the McKenzie River at 1 AM

We saw moose, lynx, foxes, and this guy... he did not yield

Tired, dirty, we celebrate driving all the way to Inuvik and back!

McCroskey to Bald Mountain

As a fifth generation Palouse person, I try to get up there to ride when I can. I always enjoy following the stories and pictures here. Two of my brothers and I did a bit of riding up there a week ago:

I sure did enjoy myself. The offroad riding was a ton of fun and the road riding was pretty darn good too. Decent roads with good scenery. Hard to ask for much more.

We always go up behind Grangeville road tripping. Love the Gospel area. Just took my endorsement class on a TW200. I bet they're fun on the trail.
