Palouse Ride

I did a quick Palouse-St.Joe Ride with some colleagues last night. The towns we hit were, Palouse, Potlatch, Harvard (dinner at Hoo Doo cafe), Emida, Santa, Fernwood, Clarkia, Bovill, Helmer, Deary, Troy, Moscow. My colleague started getting nervous about gas and tried to find some at Clarkia but the pump was closed and cash only. We again tried at Helmer and found some guys who helped open the pump for him to fill up. Cash only here too. We saw at least 15 deer between Santa and Bovill, it made for some anxious riding as the sun was setting. About 85F on the Palouse when we started, cooled off to 70F in White Pine, and about 63F in the Clarkia area and 78F back in Moscow. It was nice to experience the natural AC in the forests.

I am pretty undecided on my weekend plans. As usual. I might ride on Sunday after doing some bike maintenance on Saturday.

Looks like you got all the right answers. I can share a few pictures. My brothers and I have often ridden both the Marble Creek and Road 301 routes — camped along both as kids. A few of these also have pictures along Fishhook into Avery and Moon Pass to Silver Valley (and Hoodoo to Montana). Some of my favorite Idaho country.

I will be riding the DR350 up Shanghai or Bald Mtn this evening to see if I can get a good sunset photo, a great excuse for a fun ride.

THANK YOU! Some of your pictures demonstrated to the boss that we CAN do the roads 2 up.

Be sure to let us Palouse Riders know when ever you are up in our area!

I work with a guy ( Casey) who had been on at least one ride with Jason and he was impressed with Jason's handling of his GSA on trails. Looks like the GSA got downsized .

My riding moved to next weekend after I tried to walk through my shop and found several weekends worth of straightening and projects.
