Not really hail. Mostly periods of heavy rail and very strong wind gusts.
There was marble sized hail where I live in Del. Co.,PA., but I was down in Delaware at the time.I got back home at about 9:15 PM.
On the way home I passes several areas worth exploring as possible future tags, but I ran out of time and daylight.

Got the tag

Went out after work and grabbed it:

Woodland Beach, east of Smyrna at the end of DE 6. Used to be quite the resort, apparently -- I found this image of a hundred-year-old postcard while Googling for the tag:

Who knew?

I tried for a new tag, found the road it's supposed to be on, but ran out of daylight and couldn't locate it. So I'll get one up as soon as I can.

Glad to see the First State get a game going. I was about ready to head over there and start it myself, but I figure that having started three of them is enough for right now.

I have a few tag locations in mind, and a house to stay in when I visit. See ya soon.

New tag

Shortly before the American Revolution, two English surveyors were brought to America to determine the extents of the colonial holdings of the Calverts and the Penns. The product of their work is well known. They marked each mile of the lines they surveyed with stones imported from England, and many of these stones still survive. Every fifth mile, a more elaborate stone, a "crown stone" was used, and this is one of those.

One face of the stone has the Calvert crest:

The opposite face has the Penn crest:

Y'all got it, right?

Here's another hint for y'all: this stone is at mile 45 on the Tangent Line.

I don't think anyone needs another hint. I found it with your clues, even found a site that gives the exact GPS coordinates of it as well as a picture. It's a little further than I'm probably willing to go with my bike running the way it is. You never know though, I may make a mad dash for it after work today before some of you guys that seem to have off during the day get it.

Got it!

Got it.

This crown stone marker is in Marydel, near the Delaware/Maryland state line. Nice tag location. I'm learning more as I visit these various tags.
It was raining steadily during the round trip from PA. Glad to be home and dry. New tag will be posted later today.

A couple more photos from the Marydel tag.

This was the roadside historical marker near the "crown stone".

Another view of my bike and the crown stone.

A plaque in the concrete at the base of the crown stone.
