1975 DT 175. Had been sitting since about 1982. With fresh gas and injector oil it fired right up and runs nicely. I plan to fix all mechanical issues and leave the rest.

1982 Katana. Another cheap find- and one I was really excited about until I discovered the original 1000cc engine had at some point been swapped out with an '81 GS1100 unit. Still, it's cool, just not so very collectable with the wrong powerplant.

I haven't started it in over a year, but it does run well (as well as a three speed two stroke can run) I have two boys, 10 and 14, that would love to ride it. I should just let them to it I guess. I am pretty sure the 10 yo will try to jump it over moms car

My '81 Honda XL185S, AFAIK, it is unrestored. It does have a little patina you can see up close, but looks great at 5-10 feet away.

You must get tired of responding, "no, it's not for sale..."

I originally bought this bike to take the 4LS brakes off of for another project.
I have decided not to do this since the bike was a one year build with the 4LS. So for now it sits in the corner till spring time, when I will probably sell it.

I tried to buy this bike for years from a buddy, finally he gave up. The deal is I could have it for what he paid for it new, $3000, but I could only sell it back to him. So I guess my kid can sell it when we're both dead. Thing is my son wants to park it by his cherry RC51. This RZ is so original that the cleaning instruction sticker is still on the windshield. Tires and fork seals are all that have ever been changed.

I picked up a cherry 86 RG500 back in 2001 (was watching for a mint XT500 at the time, forestalled a thumper dualsport purchase by 7yrs ) and soon after, I was getting a gratis appraisal at a Suzuki dealership and was offered another RG500 Walter Wolf at a sensible price, bikes geez...

Saddled with two of them, I intended to sell the Walter Wolf somewhere down the road and keep the tidier black and white RG. Out of the blue a close friend calls up and knowing I coveted his Can Am / Armstrong / Rotax mono-shock Trials bike, I'd helped him source years ago, proposes a convoluted swap involving the WW RG and cash, his bitsa Duo Glide and of course, the damned aluminum framed trials bike I lusted after.

Took damn near forever to flog the bitsa Pan Head, but I was able to end up with the aluminum framed trials bike, which I hardly used and ended up selling anyways...

In the end, it's probably no less complicated, with friends who covet your bikes, or your spouse.
