Unrestored Bikes - I'd like to See Them! - Page 5

Actually took this today. Found this 1973 TL125 in a barn late last year and have been resurrecting it after it sat for 18 years. If you care to follow along, the story is here: Linky

Plan to keep it original and run it. I'll confess to replacing the seat. Something about a holey seat. Also mounted new rubber today.

After a valve check it's going in the woods.

Doc Batsleer in Fla. has a running two stroke Ner-a-car, but this one is a flatheat 4 stroke. Not sure if its American or Brit the two-strokers were made in both countries. If only they'd caught on we wouldn't be in the mess we're in.

maybe too new for this thread, but this is my 76 /6 returned to running after 20 years in storage, but otherwise all original.

The one I saw in BC at the O'keefe Ranch Vintage Motorcycle Ralley, probably 6-8 years or so ago.

Here is my Dad's 250cc Triumph Tiger Cub from January 1955.... Brand new so not restored ....

Heres a few from a get together last weekend.

The bikes are not restored but modified to live (organic) - not for the purists - but the blokes that own these bikes ride and often/ almost always take the hard road.

What about taking a JPS Triton down 40 k of rutted rock strewn raod ?

Not something most "riders" would do

Got tons of pix - restoration is somewhat overated - its about the riding I reckon.
