Got to take some pictures of my new improved windshield deflector with folding hinges from a Ford Cobra sports car. My wife and Hackshund love it. Totally deflects the side and down blast entering the cockpit. It's also foldable when wanting to use it. cheers...

New windscreen for the M72D? I've been designing one in my head since last summer when Kirby got slapped in the snout at 25mph because I forgot to flip up the screen before I took off. But I'm stuck on some of the details.
So, yes, show us what you came up with! |

Hackshund approved Wind Deflector..!
A friend of mine is building a kit Shelby Cobra convertible....and when I saw what he had for deflecting wind blasts for the visors and window sides I realized that I gotta have this for mine.... he had spares and got em' gratis!!
![]() I am a metric Man so excuse the metrics . Hinge slot size for polycarbonate shield is 3.5 mm; used Lowes Hardware's 2.5mm polycarbonate panel for deflector. You can see that it is fastened using 1 set screw. ![]() Washers on both sides with Nylock Acorn nuts will fasten the brackets securely onto the sidecars w'shield and deflector. Also trim deflector tab to clear cockpit arms. Long bolt and nut likewise have washers on both sides, Acorn Nylock nut...tighen to desire "holding" positon. Tested to 80 mph...holding steady..... ![]() Folded in to shoot for full gale force winds ![]() Extended to deflect .... ![]() ![]() Out of the way when exiting the cockpit...or solo riding... ![]() Sharon loves it and is ready to shoot down Ruta 40..>>>...Tierra del Fuego... Emma the Hackshund loves it and is paw approved... ![]() See the deflector and hinges from an actual Cobra kit being build. Picture derived from the Cobra blog. ![]() You might be able in purchasing just the joint parts..?..got mine free.. https://factoryfiveparts.com/product...0&cat=0&page=1 Actual kit....$$$$....
