I was hoping to make my aftermarket LEDs plug switchable with the OEM wiring in some way, but the guage of the wiring was too fine for standard US automotive electrical connections. Cut and reconfigure at your own peril...

What wires go to the flasher? Thats the issue I have right now. I have an LED flasher but don't know where it need to wire it.

i had to turn my turn signals on to see where the noise was to find it, i found it under the top trim panel in front of the battery. look in front of the battery and theres a plastic cover near the bottom front of the battery, its under there. its kind of hard to get to without taking the battery out but i got mine switched without.

The flasher unit is two pin ( mine is NARVA # 68249) it is as Kubiak says behind steering head in front of battery. The unit is in the middle between two loom plugs on the right and one on the left. Mine is + green/black and L (lights) blue/white. Remove the dash globe or you will have hazard lights otherwise rewire the dash globe with both wires going to two diodes and conect to one side and a new earth wire to the other side. This is because bmw earth the dash globe through the opposite side circuit. With LED's they will all light up.Hope I explained that well enough cheers Mark |
