The Desert 100

After taking my BMW out on the poker run the day before the Desert 100 race I opted not to race in the following day. I think I made the right choise as the coarse was very challenging, and in one narrow section then ran adjesent to a river someones KTM 950 ended up at the bottom of said river. Anyway here's a picture of my ugly mug posing with my modified Dakar. If you're curous I finished 203rd out of 700 starters on my yamaha 250 in just over 5 hours. It was a long day.

Thats what my bike will look like when I get it done. Only without the top case. Do you find it bulky with those Pelicans on the side? Just looks that way to me. I don't really care, just wondering. Looks like you'd definitly need the side stand extender- I have a hard time lifting the bike out of the leaning position without the bags full! But then, I need to work out more.

This could be one of your nicest iterations yet. If down the road you decide to swap out your front and rear fender for something else, I could be persuaded to pick them up.

Tire of the Lean

Okay after a week in Baja of seeking out a large rock every time I parked my bike, I would like to see photos of your Side Stand modifications.

Any good solutions out there?

Thanks, Martín

I haven't had time to mess with it, maybe tonight I will. I have a whole list of parts and doodads i've collected over the last 6 months but have been to busy to work on the bike.
