Sorry motogazonaktm,
Just realized that I've been using a single diagram on my 2007 Dakar. If this still helps, let me know and I'll email you the diagram, as I don't know if I can attach the diagram here. |

I usually buy my DID chain together with sprockets as a set on louis.de for around 100 Euros. This DID chain is in one loop.

I haven't thrown a master link. A key installation detail, after it's assembled, is to push the pins back in towards the chain, forcing the plate to lock against the clip. Wipe with some alcohol and dab a spot of silicone rubber over the pins and clip.

Overheating gs
So I am working on an 03 gs and the darn thing keeps blowing all its antifreeze out the overflow, overheating and the idiot light is coming on. . We have cleaned out the whole system including the thermostat, replaced the rad cap (i was hoping the spring got weak and was prematurely blowing off pressure). The waterpump is not leaking and the fan is coming on no problem. We have refilled the system burped out the air and had the local shop do it also all to no avail. Any ideas? Could the water pump be bad and not leak? Is there any way to check water pump flow? Any help will be greatly appreciated. We just got to get this thing fixed.

Sounds like the plastic gears on the waterpump might be the issue. Pull the waterpump housing off and try to turn the impeller. If it rotates (with the the engine off) the gears are munched........solution change out the the waterpump and plastic gear.

I've lost the master link clip from my chain. Does anyone have a suggestion on where to get a replacement? I just went to the local hardware store and I've had those clips fall off too.

Mine is a 30mm that is on the counter-shaft. Do I have something funky going on?

I'm looking for the front engine mount/shell piece that goes between the frame and subframe. Anyone got one?
