Looking for a part...
Hey everyone, I'm looking for a second hand center faux tank plastic. Working on an experiment and would rather not screw up my current one. Any color would be fine, any condition as well.
Any help would be great! |

I have been snooping through the race tech emulator threads. I have seen many people have used different size springs with different size spacers. I was wondering how everything has turned out in the long run? Does a stock length trazxion spring with appropriate spacer work out? Or does the shortened spring work better. Race tech suggested i use a .9 spring rate. I'm a 200 lb rider without any gear. I have read many people think the .9 spring rate was too stiff, for those of you that do, how much do you weigh? I am trying to get a solid higher speed gravel bike.

So, I'm looking at turn signals for a 2003 F650GS. BMW wants a bunch for them, and they're fairly fragile. Looking at part number 61 31 7 650 999 on the fiche at maxbmw.com, I can't tell if the turn signal relay is old-school mechanical or electronic. I found set of low profile signals but they're also low voltage and won't trigger mechanical flasher relays.
SO: Anybody know? TIA, 1911fan

You need an LED compatible flasher unit and modify the LED dash lamp circuit. There is a difference between "electronic" and LED indicator flasher units
CustomLED, SuperbrightLEDs and others have low cost 2 pin flashers I have seen some down to $10 http://www.customled.com/products/fl...sher_relay.htm http://www.superbrightleds.com/cat/f...oad-resistors/ Kuryakin has a diode kit or you can roll your own http://www.kuryakyn.com/Products/719/Diode-Kit WayneC1 screwed with this post 09-13-2012 at 07:04 AM |

I've just installed LED indicators (clear lense) and they make a huge cosmetic improvement as well, really updating the bike's looks. The stock ones look like giant dirty lolly pops.
If your careful to buy an electronic relay then you'll have no problems. Modding the dash is easy too. Just a couple of cheap diodes (few cents each) and your away. There is a step by step "How to" - with photos out there somewhere. I found it straight forward enough and I'm certainly no expert. |

I put an LED tail light on my bike this spring and it blows. Any ideas what a decent one would be?

Yeah, i meant to mention that after the East Great Dane M&G. It looked like a pink decal while you were riding, then like a dim red light when braking...
