... the XR is the greatest off road motorcycle ever constructed. There's nothing it can't do, hasn't won or will not outperform.

any one run a cush drive? any good?
so really, how many k,s have you got on your xr?has any one cracked 100,000 with out a rebuild?
was talking to some one who knows stuff about the xr's and he reckons with out a cush drive your gear box will be pretty well distroyed after about 30,000. i have never seen an xr with a cush drive fitted.
Has any one actually road tested those cush sprockets? how many k's. any good?

Those Cush sprockets won't be any good off road I reckon, when dirt and grit gets in between the workings it will wear it out pretty quick. Good for motard I hear as for klms on a XR I have 50k plus. It's done Condos, A4DE, and everything else in between and no dramas. I asked Nick Doyle (Mr XR) when he built all of GHRs ones did they run cush drives and he said not required the gearbox is massive so I never worried. Mines got all the gear in it, seen it on the dyno it does the business with out hassle no box hassles, still has the clutch in it when Nick built it for GHR. Nick is rebuilding it very soon as it is getting tired and I don't want it to fail and damage anything. Heard of a guy on a high milage one doing 5th gear in SA. He bought a smaller rear sprocket and rode it back to Sydney in 4th, rebuilt the box, rerung it and happy days
