Well I got my first mountain bike...Raleigh Mojave 29er...I am still not 100% sold on the Juicy 3 hydraulic brakes...I am slowly coming around though especially after big down hills

I redid my city cruiser...was this badass 90s paint job

And became this...

I got it all back together, but have yet to snap a shot

You FFs have some fancy bikes

Not me - I keep it simple. No need for a full suspension in Florida. Caloi custom cruizer, big bike with 14 in apes.
Ride it the 8 miles to work in 22min - all flat. Dark on the way in so I added some lights. Also put a highway gear on the back. Hard to start but you fly when you get it going.

Here's my race bike:

The silver paint really shines in the sunlight. I may take gratuitous glamour shots over the weekend.

Yes, that's a regular water bottle right between the aero extensions.

Even when normal weight I had to have custom made stuff....American Classic post and stem (bent all other models) only Aluminum frames, 36-spoke rear wheels, 54cm bars, no Ti anything. (flexes too much)

I still miss her....still have the Santa Cruz Chameleon for town rides with the wife....sad how life gets in the way, I used to do 2-300 miles a week back in the day.

But with most things, you are only as good as your last ride.

My hand-built Rivendell, from 2000 or so...

Half-step gearing, with a granny gear. Brakes flopped over for consistency with the motorcycles. I had fun wrapping the bars...

Yep, it was Joe-built. I got doored in Berkeley, bashed in a rib and mangled my old Centurion, so I used the insurance settlement to get a built-for-me roadie. Love to ride it, on the flats and up in the hills. The moustache bars are a bit high up in the air on steep descents, but I don't go so fast downhill anymore, so it's not a problem.

Askel mentioned Rivendell's "marketing machine"...
