I am moving to WNC soon and want to start biking. What is a good starter hard tail?

Been thinking about selling my Giant XTC 29er. What part of WNC?

Put some ice screws on those tires, and go hit the frozen ponds...

Please excuse the horrible quality of these phone pics. I've had it now for exactly two months and ridden 410 miles of single track. Its a fantastic bike that rides like a dream. Makes me want to ride every day.

The quality of the welds is incredible.

Like fine dark beer, it is quite stout.

Lake Tahoe Flume trail last summer. I need to spend some more time there to ride all the trails. I rented the Giant and I really liked it. I own a Niner EMD and both bikes are pretty similar.

Think I have posted this somewhere else on ADV, but here it is anyway.

At the Kingdom Trails, East Burke, Vt. Top of the Heaven's Bench trail.

Had this bike nearly ten years now. Used to race in the EFTA series but now we ride for fun. Cathy (stoker, but not my wife) must be pretty insane to get on the back and go the places we do- just about any singletrack. Only have endo'd twice

We LOVE this bike- Ventana CdeM full suspension
