Not me or my friend. I got to meet the owner of Monster Bicycle Company, which I'd been wondering about. My friend did exchange contact info on an 1890's Sterling, as the two of them are both into that era of bikes and both have stuff each are interested in. But, there were only about 1/2 the booths of 2yrs ago. I probably won't go again, because of that.

That's how I've been coping.

Some folks don't realize exactly how much bicycles can cost. I've got a new GS-Adv w/ bags in the garage if you add up what my bicycles are worth (to the insurance co)

Tell me about it, I spent a whopping $1,400.00 on a bike last year and my wife gave me shit for it for months.

Show us your bicycle.

My Yeti SB95 Carbon Race was waaaay more expensive than my first car

We currently have 5 motorcycles and it cost more than 3 of them put together.

...but it sure is fun to ride

Is it wrong that thinking of selling two of the motorcycles to add more bicycles to the garage?

I was sitting around a table with about 15 guys, all riders, 7 or so of which are local fast guys. One of the non racers (I don't race either) asked how much it costs to get a good bike these days and without hesitation the guys said $10K..... Nobody even flinched. I just laughed.

I just had a bicycle built and it was close to $4000.00 by the time it was finished. I got it the day before Thanksgiving and now have about 1800 miles on it. It was well worth the cost. The more you use it, the cost drops. I couldn't justify it if I just hung it on the wall. Ride on.

Yeah, but put my big ass on a 10k bicycle and I'm still going to get dropped like a bad habit on the next ride. Can't buy speed like you can on MC's.
I have a Calfee mtb tandem in the showroom that costs upwards of 12k. But then again, look at the price of a new K1600GTL.

You and me both....

BUT, I still think bikes and moto are the same in the statement. It's not the bike, it's the rider.....
