I'd like to buy a trainer on the cheap. What you recommend?

Something magnetic or fluid. Fluid if you can get one. More closely simulates the road.

The trainers out there now are all basically varying degrees of good.

Big +1 to the rollers. At least they keep your mind occupied. I use the Kreitler 3.0 with a headwind unit for resistance.

No wonder yer kicking ass and taking names!

Me? When I did ride the trainer, it was an older Cateye Psychostimulator (aka Cyclosimulator). Has a fan + disc brake for 'hill simulation' and a built-in computer WITH watts! I spent most every day outside this winter, so didn't need to ride the trainer much.

Oh, and a pair of Nashbar rollers I got as a Crimmus present in the late 80s when I was still in college. They've got a lump in em now, so need replacing.

This is my S&M 38 Special 24" Cruiser that I'm pulling up for sale. Just thought I would put a link up to the sale ad in Flea Market.

Does. anyone here know anything about Perfomance Bicycles? I bought a Performance R103 bicycle and have not had much luck finding out anything about it. I contacted the Performance company in North Carolina but they have yet to send me any information. I thought I would post this question here as you people seem very knowledgeable about different brands of bicycles.
Thanks in advance.
