Nice bike!
I go back and forth between period correct or simply putting together a modern setup... I'll probably stick to period correct though. I like the old stuff too much.

I don't want to get too high end on this bike though, as I want to be able to lock it up. I would love some dingy campy parts, save the shiny ones for my track bike.

It is indeed a Stratus XP...2011 model.

The rear derailleur keeps the chain in tension...no slack. The return side idler wheel keeps the chain from slapping around.

Price was retail + shipping. This is the only recumbent I have purchased new. Used is always the way to go with recumbents IMO. I was not able to find the XXL frame size I was after in the used market, forcing the new purchase. I had one of these bikes 4 years ago, but foolishly sold it.

No...not really. I've visited a few times, but do not use it.

I know quite a few people that LOVED their KM's. The design is pretty dated now however.
I'm no expert, but I've been very happy with my KM as a commuter for a few years now.

Today, my son and I took the 1976 Puch out for a ride down the Blackstone River Bikeway.

I should have found this thread before starting my own. I just got my first bicycle in years. Scott Sub 50. No need to license or insure. Infinite mpg and soooo quiet!

Nope that is just off the Washington Secondary Trail in Rhode Island, that runs from the Providence / Cranston city line to Connecticut.
