Those things can't even be hung across the back of a car without sticking out into the next lane of traffic....Wide Load.

Gummee -

I forgot I owed you this....vintage iron day....

Lemond Gan frame, Excell GLX tubing, Campy group (53/39 chainwheels), Mavic headset, Cinelli stem and bars. The original hubs were built with Fiberflite spokes. I wouldn't dare ride those at my current weight The wheels on there now are Mavic hubs and Mavic Open 4 CD hoops. I still have the Fiberflites stashed away. I built this bike in '94. About 45lbs ago.

Here's the I bike I rode the most. It's a frankenstein, but worked very well for me. Many, many miles were ridden on this bike. It's a Pinarello Stelvio frame. I traded a really nice Tommasini frame for this (a couple cm too big). I built it in or around 1993 with Dura Ace bottom bracket and crank, 53/39 chainwheels, Suntour Superb Pro brakes, Ultegra derailleurs with billet wheels, Campy Omega 19 hoops/Ultegra hubs, Campy seat post, Control Tech stem (I think it was a MTB stem ) and the Scotts bars. Many centuries were done on this rig. That's the second or third set of wheels on this bike. Wore the sidewalls out

My wife used to ride with me. This is the bike I bought her. I just tuned it up today. She says she wants to start riding again.

It's more or less original, except I added a set of Sachs integrated brake/shifters for her back in the mid 90's. It's probably the nicest RB-1 that I've seen in quite some time.

'95 Merlin XLM....

Manitou 2, with the lightweight Al stanchions and a Ti kit.....I never got more than a season out of a set of elastomers. Luckily, they're still available.

They were made in Massachusetts back then.

After many, many mountain and road bikes, I now feel the need for spee..., uh, comfort.

My Specialized Globe city bike is the most comfortable I've ever ridden. Easy on the bad back.

Here's a poor picture of it with a little project I whipped together. It was basically just a first try at a uni-trailer. Better prototypes are forthcoming. Works awesome though...

2001 17" Kona Hahanna, It sees almost 100% street duty. I have a rigid fork for it, I just need an 1 1/8" crown race so I can install it. Those bouncy forks suck on the street, lol. I really like the street tires I put on, I dislike the seat that is on it for street riding so that's getting changed too.

It's really a little too small for me, but I can't afford to buy a new bike right now and I didn't know when I bought it. I used to race BMX and never realized there was so much to bike fitting until just recently, around last year.

Edit: I should also ad I'd like to ditch the beefy downhill stem and fat bars I have on it.

Here's mine. Specialized Roubaix Comp with a mix of 105 and Ultegra, and wearing Fulcrum Racing 3's. I also have set of Dura Ace wheels with the Hutchinson tubeless tires. Not much time for road riding lately, but I knock out about 80 miles a week on the trainer. I'd do more road riding if I could figure out a way to do it and watch Family Guy!
