Thanks Craig - my footpeg extensions and rear rack arrived very quickly

I struggled to find the right size drill bit here in the UK - we've all gone metric you know but the footpeg extenders are now fitted and although I haven't ridden the bike with them on yet - sitting on it they feel good

The rear rack is fantastic - no other word for it. The quality is excellent, size just right. Slots and holes all over for securing things and it really looks the part. far far far far far superior to the one I had fitted previously - I won't slag off the manufacturer on here, but sufficient to say you get what you pay for.

Now lets go look on your website and see what else you've got I might like

Pete

Thanks for the update Pete.

I've changed the instructions to include "or 4MM" , don't want anyone to get confused.

Safe Travels,

I have BLACK, ORANGE, and MACHINE FINISH pegs back in stock for the KTM's.

If you were waiting for BLACK, get them before they are gone.

ya know, I'd buy a set of pegs from yas if you'd make some that wher lower than stock, say, by 1/2"-1" lower.
Many dudes out there want'em.
Lowest i can find is from Germany, way too many duckets...

Remember, these pegs work on the RFS bikes too, and the extra leverage is always a nice thing.... I swap 'em back and forth between bikes. Takes seconds when the peg pin isn't seized.

Long pegs.
CJ, it looks like the fabrication of the pins in your pegs has changed. I did a quick skim of the entire thread and I don't remember seeing anything about this. Comments/reason (or post no. if I missed it). I like the looks of these; will have to order up a couple of pair, but can't decide whether I need the standard or long version (I'm 6'4" tall and wear size 14 boot). Have people had success drilling the KTM pegs while still mounted on the bike or is it better to remove the pegs for drilling?

I won't be able to do this w/o building an all new pegs from scratch. Only so much time in a day, so this won't be happening for some time. I'll keep that in mind if the work slows down. Thanks.

Potentially, but I can't say when. I've got a list that will last me well into November now. More models are in the works, sorry I can't give you a date as of yet.

It's been about 50/50 for long standard. Almost all 950 riders have been getting the long b/c the bike is wider.

Smaller single cylinder KTM riders are a mix depending on how much single track they do. W/ the smaller bikes being thinner. Standard pegs on a 530 can give you same contact when standing as Long on a 950. Got that?

Where do you ride?

2-track, desert, rock beds?

What are you putting these on?

Most riders w/ your build have been finding the Long to work well for them.

98% of all sales have been for the Drill it Yourself kits. Take your time drilling and don't rush it. I've been getting good feedback that it's working well for DIY riders.

As with all my products I'm always trying to make a better product. I used the first version for several thousands of miles. Decided to try a new idea and it worked well so I stuck with it. I make smaller batches of parts compared to larger manufacturers, so small changes/ improvements may be made at that time. I try to updates pics to show this when I can.

Hope that helps.
CJ

Gaspipe,

Those early prototype pegs are still looking great.

How many miles do you have on them now?

FYI ... in some instances Pivot Pegz will do this for you. That is why I did NOT like the Pivot Pegz on my R1150GS as the lower peg position messed up the relationship from peg to shifter. And why I was hoping these were available for the GS ... that would be just what the doctor ordered. On the R1150GS the Pivot Pegs lowered the pegs about an inch.

Thanks CJ. I was going to put these on my 690e and 300 XC. I live in Texas and am not far from single-track, 2-track, desert, rock beds, etc. Maybe I should get one long and one standard and move the pegs between bikes as Gaspipe suggests. Both my bikes are rather slim, so maybe the standard size is what I need. A single pair could be moved between the two bikes,

The local dealer has a set of standard on his demo 690E and really likes them. Just enough extra length w/o getting in the way.

If both pegs were drilled for the mounting holes you could swap the extension. Check to make sure the peg part numbers are the same.

Or swap the complete pegs setup from bike to bike.

CJRacer,

great looking pegs! After seeing them on so many bikes at the Riggins Idaho Ralley and talking to so many satisfied customers, I am in for a set of large pegs. Thanks for making great stuff!
