Prices and deposits

I have set the prices like so:
TRIPMASTER: 200€
REPEATER: 200€

Remember, I have decided to leave every casing a standard colour. Something between flat silver and flat grey!

I sure do hope so !!!

I am ready to order the next batch of casings. Because of this being quite a large sum for me (over 500€), I'd like to start by collecting deposits for those who want either a tripmaster or repeater, currently unremoted. (I still have to redesign my original combo remote design to massively reduce the prices, so no remotes yet).

I was thinking of maybe 50€ per unit? Once I complete the devices, I can send you a pic of the complete unit(s) and you can pay the rest and I'll ship it off to you. Sound reasonable?!?
But I must warn you, that this may take some time due to 2 things: The cases will only be started during the end of this moth, due to the CNC shop being quite busy a.t.m.. Seond reason is that I'll be on summer holidays in 2 weeks time, and I won't be at home for 4 weeks! After that I need about 2 weeks at most to complete your order (so you see, this is very time stretched!!!)

SO, if you agree to what I've written above, please PM me with your order!

Before I sign off, here a couple of pics of it used during a small trip to the Ténéré meeting in Worms last weekend (it was supposed to be a repeater, so never mind the 2nd button!):

CNC Cases delayed

Hey guys,

Production is going fine, except that I haven't received my CNC cases yet!!!

I tried to contact my supplier about 2 weeks ago, but he only got back to me yesterday telling me that he and half the team were on holidays, and will ship them out to me by the end of this week (let's hope so ).

Apart from that, I have every single other component sitting here at home on my workshop bench, ready to be fixed together!

FOR ALL THOSE THAT HAVE ALREADY PLACED A DEPOSIT, I'M TERRIBLY SORRY FOR THE LONG WAIT ON YOUR ITEMS, BUT LIKE I SAID THE CNC GUYS ARE A P.I.T.A!!!

Cases have arrived

Hey guys,

My cases have arrived, FINALLY!!!
Here some pics of them in each of the 3 colours I ordered.

If anybody wants a device, you can only get your case in silver as the rest of the colours have already been taken!

Now, I'll be busy the next couple of days to get my current orders done

Cheers,
Tony Schattat

I'm interested in two tripmasters here in the UK.

is it possible to have a self calibration in the device so that if your jogging the trip in one direction for say 5 times the wheel size would alter the apporiate direction automatic.

I'd only be interested in a resetable trip resetable and jogable, speed (top speed), and time

Hi there,

Thanks for taking interest in my products!
Could you please explain to me what you mean by "jogging"?
If you're referring to the auto-calibration function like the original ICO has (counting down your current trip will automatically adjust your wheel circumference), then sorry my TMs don't have this function. It doesn't seem to be of much use when you miss something in the roadbook, ride back to a specific landmark, adjust your trip accordingly and allowing the tripmaster to count your upcoming distance wrongly!

But otherwise my TMs have 2 trips (each individually adjustable), speed, top speed, and clock. Everything can be switched between KM/H and MPH (except the wheel circumference, which is only adjustable in millimetres)

If you have any more questions, I'd be more than happy to answer them for you!

First devices complete

Hi all,

Just finished a few of the devices! I hope to be able to complete the all my orders in about a weeks time (don't mind the front of the LCDS, they have a protective cover one them to prevent scratches during transportation)...

The complete compass repeater set, including mounting material, Garmin GPS connector cable and power connector parts:

Operation test:

And me working on them (please excuse the messy table. Doesn't seem to fit with German efficiency ):

Stay tuned for updates during the week!

I had lost you for a while but I see you have done a tremendous progress.
I like that repeater.
A question. I have a Garmin 60CSX but it is already connected to the power supply with a similar connector as shown in the foto. How can I connect the Schattat Repeater to the Garmin if this already ocuppied by the power supply cable???. I assume cutting the cable.
I am not in a hurry but I would like to get one.

By the way have you thought about providing some kind of standard connectors?. At the moment I have a mess of cables. I am not sure how to make it look better and if possible make it water proof. I mean the cables of the ICO, MD roadbook, etc.

Well, it depends on what cable you have, as there are 2 different kinds: One is just a power cable, which only has 2 wires in it (power and GND). The 2nd type is the power and data cable, which has 4 wires.
Obviously, you'll need the 4 wire cable for the repeater. I have special connectors for them, that are 100% water and dustproof once connected.
Here a pic:

Up to now I have only used the kind of connectors you see above. The tripmaster has 2 male cables (like above) coming out for the remote and wheel sensor. The repeater on the other hand has only 1 female cable coming out (prevents mismatching connections and broken hardware!). If you need similar connectors, I can source them up for you! There's a huge variety to choose from (locking nut in M8 or M12, 3 or 4 pin).

Do you need to know anything else?!?

My mistake then. What you are saying you feed the GPS from the repeater. Power from battery to Repeater and power and data (4 cables) to the Garmin. Right??

When are you planning next order?. I am not in a hurry but I would like to order one.
About the connectors I think I would need something like this

My problem is that I have several devices and I amnot sure how to connect them. I also want to protect them with a fuse. is this box waterproof?.
