Here ya go Doc: http://tinyurl.com/cvlbn4

The Pinkman (Lyle) and I will be headed out 4 days prior and then out to Moab and then a little side trip to the Amarillo area and then home. We are taking as much two lane as possible. The route we have planned (subject to change) is here: http://tinyurl.com/dd95bj

I have two rooms saved with my credit card so if you're interested we are really gonna have a good time. Moab beckons my friend!

Museum

If you get up to Rapid City, there is a little "museum" just south of town out abt 2 miles on the east side of the hwy that has some pretty neat vehicles, both cars/trucks and motorcycles, worth the stop!!!

I have some pictures from the place but they are on my other pooter which is at the repair shop..when and if I get it back, will be glad to post a few pix..

So, guess nobody is headed up cept Pinkman and I? Gonna be a hoot I think. I was there as a child of 10 that was 50 years ago, fark I'm old! Can't wait for the trip. Moab is awesome I hear but the LEO's have made it less so. What is it with that anyway?

I have it on my list of things to do this summer along with West Fest but haven't made up my mind yet which one.

Awesome riding in the Black Hills. I'd really like to check out Moab but it ain't gonna happen in the near future.

I'm going. Been the only Texan registered so far. I'm in no hurry going or coming. I can take any route. Planning on camping most of the way.

HERE is my itinerary"ish" thing.

This our route, we are taking a slight side trip home though:

http://tinyurl.com/dl3xoh

Still tweaking it from Rapid City to Amarillo for as little four lane as possible. From Amarillo home we will hightail it on the four lane...boring! If Lyle gets a little more time off we will get the heck off I-44 and continue the tour in style.

We have etched out two weeks for the trip and with friends in Ouray, Albuquerque and Amarillo we will not have to tent it at all. We are staying at the host hotel for the rally and that leaves us with one night in a motel on the way up but I am sure that we will have to schedule a rest stop at another motel on the way back, these bones are getting old.
