My wife still wants a kayak Doc,

I cant bring myself to pay $400+ for a damn plastic boat though.

especially since IM not sure she will be able to load/unload it by herself.

Midland TX is about as far as you can get from ANYWHERE!

Sucks to be you.

My grandfather lives in Midland TX.... Also, I spent 2 nights in the County Jail there a few years ago when I got picked up by a Texas Highway patrol for doing 125 on I-10. You are all correct, it is a shit-hole. Bad food too. Not very good company.

You never been to Venice, LA. It is over an hour south of New Orleans. I know what you are thinking. There is nothing south of New Orleans. You are correct, and I have been there.

I had a client in Venice when I lived there. "Shit hole in the middle of no where with gators" is an apt description. They did have a great cafe that served dyamite cajun stuffed peppers.

I used to ride my GS there from Covington and the bike was wall to wall dead mosquitos when I got back. Made the mistake of riding there during love bug season, god what a mess the bike and I were when I got back. Anyone that has had love bugs plastered on their vehicle knows it is like getting crazy glue off of it.

There is a sign there at the end of the highway that says "Welcome to the end of the earth, no trespassing" the sign was in the middle of a swamp.
