TKC were great on the dirt but really suk on the pavement..way too soft! I only got abt 2500-3000 out of the rear...so if you stay off the pavement, you might get 5000 miles out of a rear..MIGHT!

the shinko 705 ( non radial is what I have now) has been a great tire.

more traction than the tkc80 on the pavement, nearly as much off the road. and it lasts about twice as long for me, and it costs about half as much.
actually, I think this non radial tire was around $54...

I will most likely go with another tkc80 front tire, its $125, but it lasts a couple of years, and I am used to its handling.

I have grown to prefer a knobby front, and a less aggressive rear.

been learniing to ride with the rear tire loose, I still like my front tire planted though.

I did however get the new one for $156. I had a coupon from Motorcycle Superstore that saved me 10%. That's still too much $ though!

really motivated to get the dr350 going, since its tires are so much cheaper, and sadly 90% of my riding is around town.
I'm facing the same delima. I'll probably go T63 again on the rear and a Shinko or Kenda on the front. $150+ for a TKC80 is too much and the rear tires suck in the rain.

do they make the T63 in 19" and 17" tubeless sizes?

I swear, buying tires bothers me more than buying fuel.

Yeh! I know what you mean. I am getting about 3500-4000 miles out of the D606's. Went thru 4 sets of them in a year. The price of them has gone up to over $80 as well. I thought I was thru spending money on this bike. Not!!!!!!! I am awaiting delivery of a master cylinder kit for the front brake on my bike. I had a little get off in a low water bridge and it knocked my front brake out. So I swapped the master cylinder off of the virgin WRR that I purchased a couple of weeks ago and rode my bike with it last weekend. Last night I thought I would try to fill the no worky master cylinder on the new bike and bleed it and see if it worked cause I really didn't see anything wrong with the O-rings and such in it. Bled it and it works fine. Took it out and rode it tonight after work. 10Cup showed me how to bleed those brakes. You have to force brake fluid up from the zerk at the caliper to the resevoir. Who knew? I must have just gotten some air in the line from the impact cause I landed on the brake lever.

Meh, I'm not buying into this new trials tires craze. Lots of people off road running them here. I rode a buddies KTM 300 the other day with a trials rear tires and I hated it. I guess if you are a bit of a lugger and dont like to rip out of turns they may be ok, but I'll stick with knobbies.

I bet I'll get to go for a swim in my dads pond again today...his fountain pump is tripping the gfci plugs? I went out and got that heavy sob and drug it in last night. It will run fine off a normal breaker, but when you plug it up to a gfci protected breaker or plug it will trip it. Something screwy going on. I'll either be dropping it off to an electrical shop or buying a new one somewhere today. Anyone know a good repair shop or place to buy one? Needs to run on 110v and pump 5k to 6k gph.
