do you have an old unused computer?
I think you would like Ubuntu.

its free, small download, can run from a usb flash drive even, and works very well on most machines ive tried it on.

you can install it on a USB drive, and plug it in and run t on your machine to see if you like it, before installing it on your harddrive.

pretty nifty.
You will have to reinstall all your Garmin stuff and any programs you installed or in case you don't have the original install exe you will need to go out and get those. If you never add any funcitonality to your puter then just back up file you want to keep and reinstall. If a Windows product you will have to do all the updates again and you have FAP to deal with. Go do it at Ted's or Mouth's house where you have a big pipe to use and they can fix all your screw ups....

Just sayin......

O'Jay,

I've nothing against the reason we celebrate Christmas. On the other hand, I do have a problem with all the superfluous crap that it entails.

You know, like crawling into the attic for the tree, putting up the tree, hanging lights, trying to figure out which of the 700 lights is the "bad one", sending cards to people you haven't heard from since last Christmas even though you left them messages, nodding my head when my wife says the tree is sooooo beautiful, buying gifts for your wife's insane sister....ack. Sorry Santa Gus.

dont even get me started guys.

My wife has 3 trees in the house.

an ENTIRE attic full of fragile expensive ornaments, and has done pretty much nothing more than build her world of christmas for the last week or so.

my floor is covered in fake plastic pine needles, and glitter.

i pretty much HATE this crap.

What he said! My house is the same! The wife just has piles of xmas crap everywhere so the kids are digging through it..they found a long strand of tinsel and drug it all over the house so there are pieces of it everywhere ..don't get me started on the bag of glitter and fake snow they found!

I agree with all of you. We don't even put up a tree, lights, or commercialized crap at all. I tend to dig more deeply into the true reason for this celebration, and it ain't got nuttin' to do with shopping.

With that said, I'll add that I will also celebrate the friends I have along with a loving family. All of whom have made this year easier for me as I went through treatments. My moto-friends have done more for me this past year than anyone else outside of immediate family. NWA ADV Brekkies are a grand part of my month and are always highly anticipated.

So there's no humbugs this year. We have all been blessed and treated well in spite of the efforts of others. Live large and love deeply.
