Rode home in rain and snow tonight at dark-thirty. Sometimes riding a bike isn't much fun...
![]() I've been passing the cold commute w/ BBC podcasts, which are pretty good alternative to NPR. Snowing here in Central AR. The dogs are on the porch, including our latest addition, a stray Redbone Hound. My wife thinks the hound is UGLY... So we''re gonna keep it. ![]() nlp

![]() anyway...pooter issues what a fucking nitemare! Had some friends here "concvince" me that doing a reinstall was easy!..they lied to me! For two days I have been working on this...I know better for next time! I think I have it all up and running now..the one issue I am having now is apparently I am missing one of the video drivers..my screen does not roll smoothly..when I drag my sidebar up or down to view a page, the page is slow and looks like there is a wave going across the screen..its not smooth and in focus as it was before..anyone have a fix for that? Being on satellite, as many of you know from my past rants, I am only allowed so much MEGs for downloads, called "Fair Access Policy" or FAP for short..if I exceed my allotment, then Hughesnet shuts me down for a 24hr period..my allotment is 475mb in a 24hr period..well, yesterday I had to dwnld service pack 3..that sucker is 319mb BIG! After all the dwnld's and updates yesterday, my total for the day was 566mb thus exceeding my FAP..lucky for me tho, they (Hughesnet) give you a "get out of jail card" so to speak..each month you get one credit or chip that you can cash in if you exceed your FAP and I got to use mine...Whew! So, my reinstall was a PITA and I will not be doing aonther one any time soon..am a little PO'd that for some reason I can no reload my garmin gps maps back into my laptop..I shall wrestle that bear today and I hope I win...I have learned that I need me some more pooter education tho. |

It was a neat article O'Jay, thanks, and nice mag. While I was flipping through this, they had the "Video of the Month". It was Ted when he was a little kid, an "Energizer Bunny"!!! Hilarious. It should load on this page:
