I'm gonna insure and tag the Beemer and ride it, at least it keeps running regardless.

I'll fix the Tiger and put it up for sale in the spring, I don't think I could trust it long term now. May be time to shop for a new toy.

that would have really sucked if it had LOCKED UP at that speed! Glad you are here this morning telling us abt it!

It's on 07 with 28K miles. It sounds like a rod bearing. Parts are moderate enough, the gasket set is more expensive than the shells.

I hear the siren call of an F800GS wafting on the breeze...
