Those WR250R's may not be a powerhouse but dang they are as reliable as a chunk of railroad iron.
Yeah, but working on them is half the fun Mossy I get so bored when I can't find anything to do to mine. Guess its time to ride it Good luck on the 450, will be good to see it when your all done, bet it'll be very nice knowing you.

Got off work early today...

So I went and grabbed about 40 miles of dirt roads to get home. Zigzaging back and forth over the state line, then south to da house.

DaMoron and I are leaving early Sun AM and riding as much gravel as possible to make it to Springdale for lunch. Then gravel back home. Oughta be a good way to start off the year.

However you may be talking actual mileage you saw with the ones you own. Waht do you get actual when you take the gallons purchased to refill devided by the miles driven? You make a lot of short drives in town so I bet it sucks.
All my truck mileages I posted were calculated by me, the window stickers are always off on mileage.
The old diesels didnt puff smoke unless they had problems or a redneck had a program in it and was just being a dipshi*.

I started off my maniacal mechanical career as a wrench at a Mack/GMC truck stealership. I worked in the light truck shop on the "baby" diesels. One of the guys in the heavy truck shop swore up and down that a diesel wasn't performing at full potential unless is was belching huge clouds of black smoke.
No amount of tech bulletins/talks from factory personell/prove it to him stuff ever worked. Every Mack truck he laid his hands on left the shop looking like an old coal fired locomotive.

Reminds me of the time at a pirate event in KS. Some drunk fired up his bike and headed out on the highway. Shovelhead quit with him in the saddle.
We could see 'im from the campground, and he could see us. He's hiding behind the bike, waving and screaming. We laughed and pointed. He had ta push his bike back to the campground butt nekkid.

Aahhh, the memories...

We pointed the way to the campground entrance.

We were really hoping for a cop to come trolling by, but no such luck.
