A pipe bomb was found on a dirt road in the Madison Co Wildlife Mgmt Area..makes me think, how many times have I riden thru there, or anywhere for that matter, and rode past a rednecks IED?

I ride in the McEllroy forest a lot. I've been over most of the trails there. What a freakin thing to do. I first heard this on the news last evening and was amazed that someone would do that.

With my little warm fuzzy in the tank bag I'm thinking that if I see a "redneck raghead" carrying a piece of pipe in the mgt. area he may have problems.

are there good maps available of that area?

I was last there when it was called Madison country wildlife managment area, I had found some neat things, some caves, and some fun roads. but its been so long I would be lost again if I went now.

If you go the ranger station they have maps. They're useless though. Just take a compass since you don't like GPS units....

How Cold is it.???

My wife is on her way back from South Dakota where her Dad had hip replacement surgery, glad that it went well and shes on her way home. But we think it's cold here....22 below zero there last night and still 17 below zero currently. Had to have the car's antifreeze checked to be sure it was ok last night, fill up the tank so no condensation/icing takes place etc. Had to think back to all the really cold weather stuff I used to have to do. But so far so good should be home tonight. NOW I remember why I don't live there anymore

Kurts Place is very good. I don't know if I would say the "best" though. Breakfast is awesome though.
