yeah it is..got more to do tho..after the ice storm of 09, it took out a bunch of trees and showed us that there was a view behind them thar trees..so for the past couple of years, I sure been thinking abt clearing a small section out for the view...was dreading the work!
But we got in there yesterday and got it started..wow..scarey work..a couple of the trees fell more than 20 feet from the stump and when they hit, they hit HARD! One tree we had two saws pinched in it and had to use a winch to pull the tree off of them to get them out..we did tear one saw up pretty good and is going to take some repair to fix it...this time next year, the debris burning will take place.

I think it is a bit more complicated than people being unwilling to better themselves at this point.

No solutions were offered, nor theorized by me.
I was pointing out how the comparison between feeding the animals, and foodstamps was like an apples to oldsmobile comparison.

Anyone up for a challenging ride?
Yesterday I decided to take my wife to see Rush, the ghost town just south of Yellville. I looked at the map and saw there are two ways into Rush. The shortest appeared to go in off Hwy 206. I was expecting gravel but not sand and soft rocks and boulders. After three easy creek crossings (with water), three progressively tougher dry creek crossings we came to a section of soft rock and boulders about a hundred yards long. It was here we called it quits and turned around. Even with my wife walking it was a major challenge to keep the big pig upright. Those Paris-Dakar riders on those Beemers back in the '80s gained a whole lot more respect. So Rush remains for us to visit another day but time we will be trying the other way in. It was a great day for a ride although a bit windy. BTW the Front Porch Cafe has a good buffet but is now $10. No pictures because I was beat trying to keep the pig upright and my wife was making noises about being stuck in the middle of nowhere.

Diegos Tex-Mex in Flippin has good food and better prices, though I really do like the Front Porch.

that is for certain, I figure we never should have strayed from the British Poor Laws.
